NCERT has put new books and learning materials for a third language online.

Students can find them on the NCERT website.

They need to choose their class, language, and book.

The material is meant to make learning languages more interesting and useful.

CBSE says Class 9 students must learn three languages.

At least two of those languages should be Indian languages.

Schools will test the third language themselves for the specified Class 9 batch.

That batch will not have a CBSE board exam for the third language in Class 10 during 2027-28.

However, the current Class 6 batch and later Class 6 batches will take an R3 board exam in Class 10.
