Pakistan PM Sharif, Munir Visit Saudi Arabia Amid Gulf Tensions
The leader of Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and the country's top military commander, Field Marshal Asim Munir, made a special three-day trip to Saudi Arabia.
They arrived on Thursday, August 6, and will stay until August 8.
Saudi Arabia's leader, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, will meet with them.
The two countries want to grow their friendship and work together on big problems.
The trip is happening when there is a lot of worry and tension in the Gulf region.
Some ships carrying oil and other important things through the Red Sea have come under attack.
Saudi Arabia asked many countries to help protect ships and important energy routes.
Fourteen countries, including Pakistan, said yes to helping.

The visit comes amid escalating West Asia tensions; Islamabad reaffirmed its commitment to Saudi Arabia's security and the uninterrupted flow of lawful maritime commerce through the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandeb.
On July 30, Saudi Arabia proposed a Multinational Maritime Defence Coalition (MMDC) to protect commercial shipping lanes and energy routes, with 14 countries including Pakistan expressing support.
Pakistan has deployed military personnel and aircraft to Saudi Arabia under the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement, which became operational this year, while Riyadh extended a fresh USD 3 billion deposit and a USD 5 billion facility for another three years.
