Weekly Mysuru–Rameswaram Special Trains Announced for Festive Travel
The Railways are adding special weekly trains between Mysuru and Rameswaram.
These trains are meant to help people travel during Dasara, Deepavali and Chhath.
The first train from Mysuru leaves on October 5, 2026.
It will travel overnight and reach Rameswaram the next morning.
A return train leaves Rameswaram every Tuesday.
The trains will stop in cities such as Bengaluru, Salem and Madurai.
Passengers can choose AC, sleeper or general coaches.
Bookings open at 8 am on October 2, 2026.
Train 06263 will run from Mysuru to Rameswaram every Monday from October 5 to November 30, 2026.
The return train, 06264, will run every Tuesday from October 6 to December 1, 2026.
The outbound service departs Mysuru at 6:35 pm and arrives in Rameswaram at 11 am the next day.
The trains will stop at Bengaluru, Salem, Madurai, Ramanathapuram and other stations in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
Each direction will have nine services, with AC, sleeper, general, Divyangjan-friendly and luggage-brake coaches.
