Southern Railway Adds Special Trains for Meenakshi Temple Consecration
Southern Railway is adding two special trains for people attending a temple ceremony.
The ceremony is the kumbhabhishekam of Sri Meenakshi Amman Temple.
One train will travel from Tambaram to Madurai on the night of September 16.
It will arrive in Madurai early on September 17.
The return train will leave Madurai on the evening of September 17.
It will reach Tambaram early the next morning.
Both trains will stop at several stations along the route.
The trains will have different types of passenger coaches, including air-conditioned and sleeper coaches.
Southern Railway will operate special trains between Tambaram and Madurai for the temple consecration.
Train 06157 will leave Tambaram at 9:40 p.m. on September 16 and arrive in Madurai at 5 a.m. on September 17.
Train 06158 will depart Madurai at 7 p.m. on September 17 and reach Tambaram at 3:20 a.m. the next day.
The trains will stop at Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchirappalli and Dindigul.
Each train will include 1 AC First Class, 2 AC two-tier, 4 AC three-tier, 13 sleeper coaches and 2 luggage-cum-brake vans.
