Railway Employee Honored After Preventing Potential Train Mishap
B Venkata Rao works on railway tracks in Tuni.
During a night patrol, he saw that part of a rail had broken.
A broken rail can be dangerous for trains.
He quickly protected the track and informed railway officials.
The officials stopped train traffic in that area for safety.
A technical team repaired the rail and later replaced the damaged section.
Because of his quick actions, trains could continue moving safely.
South Coast Railway gave him an Employee of the Month Safety Award.
The award was presented on August 25.

He detected a critical rail fracture during night patrol on July 22.
Venkata Rao immediately protected the track and alerted railway officials.
Authorities imposed a traffic block, conducted emergency fishplating, and renewed the damaged rail.
