RPF steps up security, crime prevention in Vijayawada division
A very important railway safety officer named Anjani Kumar Sinha visited Vijayawada to check how safe the trains and stations are.
He is the top security commissioner for the South Coast Railway.
He met railway police officers and praised them for doing a good job helping passengers and protecting railway property.
During his visit, he also talked to the officers about their problems and how to take better care of them.
The officers shared the wonderful work they have been doing.
They fined nearly 3,000 people who broke railway rules and collected a lot of money from those fines.
They found 355 bags that passengers had lost and gave them back to their owners.
The officers also rescued children who were in danger, including kids who were being taken away by bad people.
They caught thieves who stole passengers' things and recovered valuable items.
The railway police promised to keep working hard to make travel safe and secure for everyone.
IG-PCSC of South Coast Railway Anjani Kumar Sinha reviewed security, passenger safety and crime prevention measures in Vijayawada Division and held a 'Suraksha Sammelan' with RPF personnel.
Under enforcement of the Jan Vishwas Act, 2026, the RPF penalised 2,948 persons and recovered Rs 21.84 lakh in penalties under the Railways Act.
Under Operation Amanat, the RPF recovered 355 items of passengers' missing or left-behind luggage valued at Rs 1.45 crore and restored them to owners.
The RPF rescued 52 vulnerable children under Operation Nanhe Farishte and 125 children from human trafficking networks under Operation AAHT.
Under Operation Yatri Suraksha, the RPF detected 70 property theft cases, arrested 61 accused, recovered property worth Rs 61.85 lakh and assisted in arresting nine major offenders for serious crimes.
Senior Divisional Security Commissioner Shanmukh Shanmugha Vadivel S briefed the IG-PCSC on the RPF's operational achievements.
