Andhra Pradesh Minister directs acceleration of road infrastructure works
The Andhra Pradesh government wants to make roads better for everyone.
A minister named BC Janardhan Reddy met with road officials and engineers.
He told them to work faster and finish road projects on time.
The state has more than 45,000 kilometres of roads.
About 10,000 kilometres of those roads need to be fixed or made stronger.
Some road projects are behind schedule, so officials were told to speed up work.
The government is also helping contractors with extra money because road materials like bitumen cost more now.
The minister started a YouTube channel called 'WATCH AP RISE' to show people the road projects.
The videos will help people see what the department is building.
The top goal is finishing infrastructure projects on time.
Roads and Buildings Minister BC Janardhan Reddy directed officials to accelerate road development works across Andhra Pradesh.
Andhra Pradesh has 45,433 km of R&B roads, of which 10,238 km require strengthening or upgrading.
Only 53% of the 6,061 km of road works costing Rs 2,500 crore has been completed so far.
The Minister launched the department's YouTube channel 'WATCH AP RISE' to showcase infrastructure projects and boost public engagement.
The government extended price variation benefits to contractors, including projects valued at Rs 40 lakh, to offset rising bitumen costs.
