Congress says PM Modi's pocket squares celebrate Ireland's Independence Day

India celebrates its Independence Day on August 15.

For the celebration, the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, wore special clothes.

He wore a white kurta, a chocolate brown vest, and a traditional turban.

That kind of turban is common in the regions of Rajasthan and Gujarat.

On his chest, he had three small pocket squares.

They were colored saffron, green, and white.

A political group called the Congress did not like the order of those colors.

They joked that it seemed he was celebrating Ireland's Independence Day instead of India's.

The Congress took a playful swipe at the Prime Minister over the pocket squares.
