In Mumbai, a big city in India, a hill of mud and rocks suddenly slid down near some homes in a place called Kurla.

This kind of event is called a landslide and it is very dangerous.

Sadly, six people died because of the landslide.

A leader named Sachin Ahir, who helps run the government in the state of Maharashtra, visited the place to see what happened.

While he was there, rescue workers found one person alive under the rubble and saved them.

Two other people were still feared trapped under the debris.

The government promised to give four lakh rupees to the family of each person who died.

The money will help the families pay for things they need.

The government also wants to build safe new homes for people who lived there so they can live somewhere safer.
