Mumbai hillock collapse kills 7, crushes Kurla chawl
In a part of Mumbai called Kurla, there was a lot of heavy rain.
Early in the morning, a big hill made of mud and rocks suddenly broke apart and fell onto people's homes.
Seven people sadly lost their lives, and many others were trapped under the rubble.

One lady named Saira Banu said her whole house collapsed on top of her family and that nothing like this had happened in the 30 years they lived there.
Helpers from the city, the police, and special rescue teams came very quickly to dig people out.
They were able to rescue eight people, and one person was still trapped while they kept searching.
The mayor of Mumbai, Ritu Twade, promised money to help the families who lost someone and the people who were hurt.
