Mumbai Trains Election Officials Amid Statewide Electoral Roll Revision

A training camp for Electoral Registration Officers and assistants was held in Mumbai during the statewide Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.
Maharashtra Chief Electoral Officer S. Chockalingam instructed officials to prevent eligible voters from being excluded and ineligible people from being included.
Officials were told to hold special registration camps for young voters and students and assist them with Form 6.
Cybercriminals allegedly posing as election officials have targeted Mumbai residents with fake links and malicious APK files.
Mumbai Police are investigating cases in which victims reportedly lost more than Rs 30 lakh, including a retired bank employee who allegedly lost Rs 7.01 lakh.
