Dadar Station Platform 4 To Be Extended For 15-Coach Fast Locals Under Western Railway Expansion Plan · freepressjournal.in

Western Railway wants to make Dadar station’s Platform 4 longer.

This will let 15-coach fast local trains stop there.

These longer trains can carry about 4,380 passengers.

Right now, 15-coach fast trains use Platform 5 at Dadar.

Platform 5 will become shorter so a new railway line can be built toward Parel.

A pillar from an old footbridge is being removed because it is in the construction area.

A new footbridge has already been connected to the Central Railway footbridge.

The project is part of a larger plan to improve Mumbai’s suburban train capacity.
