BMC Plans Local Waste Processing for Dadar’s 25-Tonne Markets
Two big markets in Dadar produce about 25 tonnes of waste every day.
About 10 tonnes comes from flowers, while 15 tonnes comes from vegetables.
The city government wants to process this waste closer to where it is created.
Flower waste could be turned into manure and incense sticks.
Vegetable waste could be turned into compost and biogas.
