Tribal Hamlet Renamed Rajarshi Shahguda After Collector's Housing Help
In a small village called Dahiguda, people were very poor and did not have good houses.
A kind government officer named Rajarshi Shah visited them and helped many families get land papers and new homes called Indiramma Houses.
Because they were so happy, the villagers decided to rename their village after him.
Now the village is called Rajarshi Shahguda.
The officer also promised to build ten more houses for other families.
He said families will get goats and dairy buffaloes so they can earn money.
Women will get free training to use sewing machines, and educated young people can get jobs in the city of Adilabad.
The officer also made plans to fix electricity, mobile phone signals, roads and other problems.
The villagers thanked him for helping them live a more dignified life.
Kolam tribal residents of Dahiguda renamed their hamlet 'Rajarshi Shahguda' in gratitude to District Collector Rajarshi Shah.
The Collector sanctioned house-site pattas and Indiramma Houses to 17 poor tribal families and personally inaugurated three newly completed homes.
He announced sanctioning of 10 more Indiramma Houses in the Pippaldhari Gram Panchayat area.
Welfare measures include goat and dairy buffalo units, free tailoring machine training for women, and employment in Adilabad for degree-educated youth.
He directed action on electricity, mobile network connectivity via a new tower, Aadhaar enrolment, road connectivity to Mamidikori, farm ponds under Jalasiri, and Cheyutha pensions.
