Minister Promises Indiramma Houses for Every Eligible Poor Family

A government minister said all eligible poor families should receive homes through the Indiramma housing scheme.

He said families should be selected fairly, without considering their caste, religion or political connections.

The government is also adding water, drainage and electricity to a large housing colony in Nookalapalli.

More services, such as a school, ration shop and bus facility, are planned there.

Officials will check applications carefully before approving houses.

The government also plans to resurvey land to help settle ownership disputes.

This survey may find fake land documents and protect genuine farmers.

In Jagtial district, more than 10,000 Indiramma houses have been sanctioned.

Ministers also gave compensation to two families whose children died after entering a pond to swim.
