Union Minister Pemmasani Vows Swift Action on Tribal Demands

People around the world celebrate World Indigenous Peoples' Day to honor the first people who lived in a land.

In the city of Guntur, in Andhra Pradesh, India, the state government held a big celebration for this day.

A very important government leader named Dr Pemmasani Chandrasekhar came to the event.

He promised to help tribal people as quickly as possible.

The tribal people asked for things like ration cards for food, papers to own their houses, and a special community building called a Girijan Bhavan.

The leader remembered brave tribal heroes from long ago, like Alluri Sitarama Raju and Birsa Munda, who fought for their people's rights.

He talked about government plans to bring roads, clean drinking water, and other facilities to faraway tribal villages.

He said a lot of money, like ₹1,120 crore for roads, is being set aside for these improvements.

Other leaders at the event also said it is important to protect tribal culture and their rights.
