Naidu vows drinking water, housing for tribal families by 2027

In India, there is a big state called Andhra Pradesh where many tribal people live with their own special cultures and traditions.

A leader named N. Chandrababu Naidu is the Chief Minister of the state.

On a special international day that celebrates indigenous peoples, he promised that by 2027, every tribal family will have clean drinking water and a good home.

The government has set aside a huge amount of money, 4,764 crore rupees, to help nearly 27.39 lakh tribal people.

It will also train 1.5 lakh young tribal people so they can find good jobs.

Nineteen special agreements were signed to help about 60,000 people with new ways to earn a living.

Roads are being built to connect more than 2,300 tribal villages, and cell towers are being added so people can use mobile phones.

Ambulances are also being arranged so sick people no longer have to be carried long distances by hand.

The Chief Minister reminded everyone that the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, started as an ordinary tribal woman and reached the highest office in the country.

He said that when tribal people get chances, they can do amazing things while keeping their culture and traditions.
