Delhi Draft Rolls Show Most Deletions in Low-Turnout Districts

Delhi released draft voter lists after checking its electoral rolls.

The data showed that districts with fewer people voting had more names removed from the draft lists.

South East district had the highest share of deletions, at 43.61%.

It also had the lowest voter turnout in the 2025 Assembly elections, at 56.4%.

New Delhi had 39.02% deletions and a 57.23% turnout.

South Delhi had 38.64% deletions and a 58.2% turnout.

This shows a pattern between lower turnout and higher deletions in the available district data.

The checking exercise lasted nearly one and a half months and ended in August.
