New Metro line to link Thane, Mumbra and Dombivli — Here’s the proposed route · financialexpress.com

In a busy part of India near Mumbai, lots of people travel every day.

The roads are full of cars and buses, and the trains are very crowded.

To help fix this, the city planners want to build a new metro, which is a special kind of train.

The metro line would connect three areas called Thane, Mumbra, and Dombivli.

It would be about 9.6 kilometers long and have seven or eight stops.

Building it would cost around Rs 4,500 crore, which is a very large amount of money.

Right now, a team called RITES is studying the plan and will finish its report by September.

If everything goes well, the metro could be built by the end of 2026 or early 2027.

The new metro would also connect to a super-fast bullet train station and other metro lines.

That way, people will have more choices and find it easier to get around.
