KSAPS Launches Red Ribbon Awareness Campaign in Karnataka Colleges
The Karnataka State AIDS Prevention Society (KSAPS) has started an eight-month campaign in colleges to teach students about HIV/AIDS.
They will have activities on campus and online to spread awareness.
Colleges will report how many students join these activities.
The campaign also uses a QR code tool to help people check if they might be at risk of HIV.
If the tool says they might be at risk, they can go to a testing center to get checked.
The campaign is part of a bigger effort to make people aware of HIV and encourage them to get tested if needed.
Around 2.03 lakh people in Karnataka are already getting treatment for HIV, and 39,028 of them are between 18 and 35 years old.
KSAPS launched an eight-month Red Ribbon awareness campaign in Karnataka colleges.
The campaign aims to improve HIV/AIDS awareness among students through campus activities and digital outreach.
Colleges will report monthly on participation and digital reach.
A QR code-based self-assessment tool helps individuals check their HIV risk.
