Modi to launch ₹17,900 crore development projects in Andhra Pradesh
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Andhra Pradesh to start many big projects that will cost a lot of money.
He will put a special stone to start building a new airport, a factory that makes computer chips, and big power lines that bring clean energy from wind and solar farms to the grid.
The chip factory will make about 96 million chips each year and give people good jobs.
The power lines will help bring clean electricity to many people and reduce pollution.
He will also start building new highways and a bridge to make travel faster and safer between cities like Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, and Vijayawada.
All these projects together will cost about ₹17,900 crore.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate and lay foundation stones for projects worth over ₹17,900 crore in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday.
Projects include the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport, ASIP Semiconductor Project, and several renewable energy transmission schemes.
The semiconductor plant, built by ASIP Technologies Pvt Ltd with APACT and Republic of Korea, will produce ~96 million chips annually.
Renewable energy transmission projects totaling about ₹10,430 crore will connect Kurnool and Ananthapuram zones to the national grid.
National Highway and bridge projects worth ₹1,880 crore aim to improve connectivity between Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, and Vijayawada.
