Tata Power Launches 800 MW Wind & Solar Project in Andhra Pradesh
Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd started a big clean‑energy project in Andhra Pradesh, India.
The project will make 800 megawatts of power by using wind farms and solar panels.
Half of the power comes from wind in a place called Kanekallu, and the other half comes from solar in Pattikonda.
The company will use 3,462 acres of land and will create about 4,000 jobs.
The power will be sent to the national grid through special transmission lines, and the project follows the state’s clean‑energy plan.

The project splits evenly: 400 MW wind at Kanekallu, Ananthapuram and 400 MW solar at Pattikonda, Kurnool.
It secured 800 MW Inter‑State Transmission System connectivity at Ananthapuram II & Kurnool‑4 CTUIL substations.
The project covers 3,462 acres, creating about 4,000 jobs and generating annual lease income.
The initiative aligns with Andhra Pradesh’s Integrated Clean Energy Policy and marks Tata Power’s 1 GW milestone with Suzlon.
