A new road is being built around Dehradun to help reduce traffic jams.

It will cost Rs 716 crore and be 12 kilometres long.

The road will have four lanes and connect with the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway.

It is expected to be ready by April 2027.

Cars and trucks can use it instead of passing through the busiest parts of Dehradun.

This could make trips to Mussoorie and nearby places faster.

The road is also designed to reduce damage to forests and help animals cross safely.

The project is expected to reduce pollution and support travel and business in the region.
