RPF Recovers Passenger’s ₹29 Lakh Bag at Bengaluru Station
A passenger accidentally left a valuable bag on a train.
The bag had gold, a laptop and cash worth more than ₹29 lakh.
Railway Protection Force staff were told about the missing bag.
They searched the train when it reached Bengaluru station.
They found the bag and kept it safely at the RPF office.
The passenger later came with his family to collect it.
RPF staff checked his identity and travel details first.
The passenger confirmed that the bag and its contents belonged to him.
The RPF then returned everything safely, and the passenger thanked them.
RPF personnel recovered a passenger’s unattended bag at KSR Bengaluru Railway Station on 30 August 2026.
The bag was left in Coach B3 of Train No. 16316 after the passenger deboarded at Krishnarajapuram.
It contained approximately 189 grams of gold ornaments, a laptop, ₹53,240 in cash and accessories.
The passenger valued the gold ornaments at approximately ₹27.15 lakh, with the total contents worth more than ₹29 lakh.
After identity and travel verification, RPF personnel safely returned the complete bag to the passenger.
