Railway Staff Returns Passenger’s Cash-Filled Bag Left at Katra
A passenger accidentally left a bag on a train at Katra station.
The bag had nearly Rs 25,000 and important identity documents inside.
Railway staff were told about the missing bag by the control room.
TTE Dinesh Kumar quickly found and secured it.
He used a railway device to find the passenger’s contact details.

A passenger left a bag on train 26402 after deboarding at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra on August 21.
The control room alerted staff that the bag was under seats 6, 7 and 8 in coach C-11.
Ticket-checking staff member Dinesh Kumar secured the bag and traced the passenger using a Hand Held Terminal.
The bag contained Rs 24,980, an Aadhaar card, an identity card and a driving licence.
The bag was handed to the Railway Protection Force for verified return, earning thanks from the passenger.
