Seawoods-Darave Railway Station Faces Commuter Anger Over Poor Maintenance After Central Railway Takeover · freepressjournal.in

People who use Seawoods-Darave railway station say it is not being kept clean or safe enough.

They have reported garbage, standing water, debris, wall writing and difficult-to-see signs.

Advocate Chandrakant Shankar Nikam wants several agencies to inspect the station together.

He says each agency should be told exactly what it must fix and by when.

The inspection should also look at toilets, walkways, ticketing areas and facilities for people with disabilities.

Central Railway recently took over responsibility for 14 more railway stations in Navi Mumbai.

A railway official said the transfer happened only a few days ago.
