Mumbai Water Stock Reaches 96.41% as Lakes Remain Nearly Full
Mumbai gets much of its water from seven lakes.
On September 8, those lakes were almost completely full.
Together, they held about 96.41% of their usable capacity.
This was slightly higher than the day before.
Vehar was completely full.
Upper Vaitarna had the lowest level, but it was still above 91%.

The lakes held 1,395,392 million litres against a live storage capacity of 1,447,363 million litres.
Vehar was full, while Upper Vaitarna had the lowest level at 91.93%.
The overall stock increased by 0.13 percentage points from the previous day.
Light rain, thundershowers and gusty winds were forecast, with no rainfall alert issued for the week.
