In India, in a state called Chhattisgarh, there are some hills called Karreguttalu, which means 'Black Hills.'

For a very long time, these hills were a hiding place for a group called Naxalites, who fought against the government.

Brave soldiers and police officers worked hard to make the area safe through a special mission called Operation Black Forest.

For the very first time since India became an independent country, the Indian flag, called the Tricolour, was raised on these hills.

Leaders say this is a very big and happy moment for the people in the Bastar region.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma said it shows that people there are no longer living in fear.

Another leader, Kedar Kashyap, said a special march called the Tiranga Yatra went on for three days to celebrate.

The leaders thanked the Prime Minister, the Home Minister and many brave soldiers who made this possible.

Some soldiers gave their lives during these operations, and their sacrifice is remembered.

Now the leaders hope the region will move ahead quickly and grow peacefully.
