Chennai Corporation Allocates Rs 100 Crore for Monsoon Preparedness
Chennai is getting ready for heavy rain during the Northeast Monsoon.
The city government has set aside Rs 100 crore for this preparation.

The Corporation earmarked Rs 22 crore for repairs and Rs 26.53 crore for 150 100-horsepower pumps and 500 tractor-mounted pumps.
More than 1,000 temporary workers will support emergencies, with additional funds for pump operations, water tanks and canal drone surveys.
Officials from civic and infrastructure agencies were directed to coordinate and complete preparations by the end of September.
