SCCL Targets 12,000 Tonnes Daily Coal Movement from Naini Mine

A company called SCCL digs coal out of the ground at the Naini Coal Mine in Odisha, a state in India.
Recently, company leaders held a meeting to make sure the coal gets delivered on time.
They decided to move at least 12,000 tonnes of coal every day, which is heavier than 1,000 elephants.
The coal will be carried by trucks to railway stations and then by trains to power plants.
Some of it will go to power plants nearby, while the rest will travel to faraway places like Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
Other companies that use the coal promised to pick up their share on time.
The leaders also asked the local police and district officials to help keep the roads clear for the coal trucks.

The Naini Mine is projected to produce six million tonnes of coal annually for nearby power plants, the Singareni Thermal Power Plant in Telangana and thermal power stations in Tamil Nadu.
Coal will be moved to the Hindol Railway Siding and Kamakhya Nagar Railway Siding for onward rail transport to destinations.
Consumer companies including Jindal Steel, Jindal India Power Limited, Meenakshi Energy Limited and TNPGCL assured SCCL they would lift coal as per daily allocations.
