Kazipet–Vijayawada Triple Railway Line Project Nears Completion
The Kazipet–Vijayawada Triple Railway Line and Electrification Project is almost done.
Out of 220 km, 195 km are already finished.
The project costs ₹3,100 crore and aims to make train travel smoother and faster.
It will help move more goods like coal and cement.
The last part, 25 km, is expected to be done soon.
This project will also help reduce pollution by using electricity instead of diesel.
The Kazipet–Vijayawada Triple Railway Line and Electrification Project is nearing completion with 195 km out of 220 km already commissioned.
The project costs ₹3,100 crore and aims to enhance capacity on the busy Vijayawada–Kazipet section.
Completed sections include Vijayawada–Gangineni (36 km), Gangineni–Dornakal (89 km), and Mahabubabad–Kazipet (70 km).
The remaining 25-km Dornakal–Mahabubabad stretch is expected to be completed in the coming months.
The project will ease congestion, improve freight movement, and reduce diesel consumption and carbon emissions.
