Indore Launches Lighter Composite LPG Cylinders
Indore, a city in India, is getting a new kind of gas cylinder that is lighter and safer than the old steel ones.
These cylinders are made from strong plastic and can hold 10 kilograms of gas.
People can order them online and get them in just a few hours.
The first set of cylinders is already in the city and will be sold by five local gas companies.
Customers pay a refundable deposit and a small fee each time they refill the cylinder.
Indore will be one of the first Indian cities to offer composite plastic LPG cylinders.
The new 10‑kg cylinders are lighter and made of fiber‑reinforced plastic.
Customers can receive a cylinder within 3–4 hours of ordering, with express delivery available.
A refundable deposit of Rs 4,836 and a refill cost of Rs 1,650 apply.
The service will start through five authorized Indane distributors and may expand to online platforms.
