Ashiv Becomes Maharashtra’s First LPG-Free Piped Natural Gas Village
Latur village first in Maharashtra to go LPG-free, gets PNG supply: Mahanagar Gas - Telegraph India · telegraphindia.com

Ashiv is a village in Maharashtra’s Latur district.

Mahanagar Gas says it is now the state’s first LPG-free village.

Instead of using LPG cylinders, families can use piped natural gas, or PNG.

The gas travels through pipes directly into their kitchens.

About 1,050 households have received PNG connections.

This means they can get cooking fuel without waiting for cylinders to be delivered.

The company says the supply will be uninterrupted.

The announcement was made on Friday.
