India Reports LPG, CNG, PNG Prices Amid Supply Measures

The articles list cooking-gas and vehicle-gas prices in several Indian cities on August 21.

A regular 14.2-kg LPG cylinder cost between ₹939.50 and ₹994.

A larger commercial cylinder cost between ₹2,691.50 and ₹2,985.

CNG and PNG prices also differed from city to city.

The government said oil companies were losing ₹188 on every LPG cylinder sold in August.

LPG use fell by more than 16% compared with the same period a year earlier.

India wants to buy more LPG from the United States through contracts for 2027.

It is also setting domestic production targets and encouraging more homes to use piped gas.

LPG users were given an e-KYC deadline of August 23.
