Digital Kisan Credit Card Pilot Promises Faster Farmer Loans
A new computer-based system has started testing in Anakapalli to help farmers get crop loans faster.
It is called a digital Kisan Credit Card loan system.
The system checks farmer and land information online.
It can also check whether land already has another loan or mortgage.
Nearly 3 lakh farmers’ records were examined, and about 80,000 appeared eligible at first.
After the required checks, approved money may reach a farmer’s bank account in less than 10 minutes.

Officials and bank staff will hold demonstrations at village Rythu Seva Kendras.
