Three ASR villages declared 100% digitally and financially saturated
In India, there is a district called Alluri Sitarama Raju.
Three villages there became fully digital in banking.
This means every family can now use a bank easily.
The district collector announced the news at a special programme.
She said everyone who turns 18 should have a bank account.
The government has set up many banks, ATMs and helpers in faraway villages.
There are also safety schemes for people.
One scheme helps with money if someone has an accident.
Another gives a small pension every month when people turn 60.
The bank will also help farmers and teach job skills to young people.
Kindangi, Addumanda and Sangodi villages in Paderu mandal of Alluri Sitarama Raju district were declared 100% digitally and financially saturated by district collector T Nishanthi.
The declaration was made at a digital and financial literacy awareness programme organised jointly by Union Bank of India and the district administration at the Kindangi Panchayat office premises.
Collector Nishanthi said the government was committed to ensuring every family in rural and tribal areas had access to banking, digital payments, insurance and pension schemes.
Banking services are being extended to remote areas through 29 bank branches, 21 ATMs and 2,643 business correspondents, with a target of agricultural loans for around 13,000 farmers.
Highlighted schemes include Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (Rs 2 lakh accident cover for Rs 20 annual premium) and Atal Pension Yojana (monthly pension of Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,000 after age 60).
