Central Bank of India holds agricultural loan outreach programmes for farmers
A big bank called the Central Bank of India held special meetings for farmers.
The meetings took place in two towns in India.
The bank wanted to help farmers get money to grow their crops.
Farmers can borrow this money to buy seeds, tools, and other things they need.
At the meetings, the bank gave loan papers and cheques to farmers who were allowed to borrow money.
A bank leader named Dr G Bhaskar told farmers to use the bank's help wisely.
Another leader said the bank wants to give loans quickly and easily.
A person from the Rice Millers Association said banks should help farmers even more.
The goal was to make farming stronger and better supported.
Central Bank of India organised agricultural loan outreach programmes in Eluru and at Muppalla in Guntur district.
Dr G Bhaskar, General Manager (Treasury), urged farmers to make effective use of bank credit facilities for agriculture and allied activities.
Agricultural loans were sanctioned and loan cheques were handed over to eligible farmers at both programmes.
E Venkateswara Rao, Regional Head of the Vijayawada Regional Office, said the bank is committed to providing easy and speedy credit facilities to farmers.
P Srinivasa Rao, secretary of the Rice Millers Association, emphasised the need to further expand banking support to agriculture and allied activities.
