Collector directs Jangaon banks on timely farmer loans

District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha chaired the District Consultative Committee coordination meeting at the Jangaon Collectorate on Friday.
He directed bankers to ensure no delay in sanctioning and disbursing agricultural and crop loans.
Eligible farmers should receive Kisan Credit Cards and other credit facilities on time, he said.
Banks were instructed to support women self-help groups through bank linkage and clear eligible loan applications within stipulated time.
Officials were told to monitor bank performance through scorecards and prepare action plans for banks lagging their targets.
