ASR district tops all three Jaladhara-Jalaharathi categories in State
A district in India worked very hard to save water, and it won first prize.
The district is called Alluri Sitarama Raju, and it came first in the whole state in a water-saving programme.
The programme is called Jaladhara-Jalaharathi.
The district did the best job in three ways: it started the most projects, created the most new water storage, and reached the goals it promised.
The leader of the district, a woman named T Nishanthi, helped make this happen.
She checked on the work often and guided her team to finish on time.
She said many people from different departments worked together for this win.
The programme will give people more water for farming and daily use.
It will help tribal and rural villages the most.
This is good news for everyone living in the district.
