Andhra Pradesh Sanctions ₹640 Crore for Tekkali Drinking Water Projects

A minister in India named K. Atchannaidu made an important announcement for the people of an area called Tekkali.

The government is spending a lot of money, ₹640 crore, to bring clean drinking water to every family there.

The water will come from a big reservoir called Hiramandalam.

It will travel through pipes to every village and home in about 18 months.

The building work will start after the bidding process finishes on August 18.

The minister also spoke about a dam called the Neradi barrage.

Two states had argued about it for many years, but now the problem is solved.

A central government notice has cleared the way for the dam, which will help water farm fields.

He also gave out help cheques to 44 families who needed support.

Money was approved too for fixing the remaining roads in the area.
