Hyderabad SIR Flags 6.72 Lakh Voter Anomalies Across District
Election officials checked voter information in Hyderabad for a special revision planned for 2026.
They received forms for more than 47 lakh electors.
So far, they have entered information from about 28 lakh forms into their system.
Some voters were linked to family records, while others were linked to their own earlier records.
Officials could not match some voters to old records, and some records had possible mistakes.
About 6.72 lakh digitised records were placed in the anomaly category.
Nearly 19.41 lakh electors were marked as shifted, absent, deceased, duplicates or otherwise uncollectable.
People may receive notices and could be asked to provide documents.
Voters should check the draft rolls and submit corrections if their information is wrong.
Digitisation covered 27,95,225 of 47,36,669 enumeration forms, representing 59.01% of the total.
Among digitised electors, 14,14,461 were classified as progeny, 7,98,547 as self and 6,72,700 under anomalies.
Secunderabad Cantonment recorded the most no-mapping electors, while Bahadurpura had the highest progeny and anomaly counts.
Overall, 19,41,444 electors were classified as ASD or uncollectable, including shifted, absent, deceased and duplicate voters.
Authorities said likely notices will be issued and urged voters to check draft rolls and file claims or objections where needed.
