The Indira Gandhi Zoological Park in Visakhapatnam held an animal adoption programme.

People gave money to help care for animals at the zoo.

The programme collected ₹1,46,100.

Ten animals were adopted during the drive.

The animals included a leopard, a Royal Bengal tiger, a Himalayan black bear and a parrot.

Some children and families used the programme to mark birthdays.

Adopters received certificates and souvenir kits.

The zoo said the programme also supports wildlife conservation and animal welfare.
