Heavy rain fell across many parts of Odisha.

A two-year-old boy died when a mud wall fell on him while he was playing.

A woman also died when a wall collapsed on her while she was sleeping.

The boy was identified as Rajbir Karsel, and the woman was identified as Purnima Mohant.

Several places received more than 100 millimetres of rain in one day.

Tensa received the most among the places named, with 162.2 millimetres.

Schools were closed in Bargarh district because of the rain.

Weather officials warned of more heavy rain and rough seas and told fishermen to stay away from the sea.
