Nashik Draft Voter Roll Drops by Over 10.27 Lakh Names
Nashik district made a new draft list of voters after checking its electoral records.
The list has about 10.27 lakh fewer names than the earlier list.
Officials said some people had moved away permanently, died, registered more than once or could not be found.
The removed names are included in a group called ASDD.
Being on this list does not automatically mean a person is permanently deleted.
People who are eligible can ask for their names to be added or corrected.
They can submit claims and objections until September 30, 2026.
The final voter list is expected on November 4, 2026.
Nashik district’s draft electoral roll lists 40,76,666 voters, down 10,27,792 from 51,04,458.
Names were placed on the ASDD list after being identified as permanently shifted, dead, duplicate, or untraceable.
Nashik West, Nashik East, Nashik Central and Deolali account for 5,51,702 fewer names combined.
Voters can file claims and objections until September 30, 2026, using Forms 6, 7 or 8.
The final electoral roll is scheduled for publication on November 4, 2026, after claims are considered.
