Nashik Temple’s Traditional Tripund Missing, Saint Seeks Religious Practice Review

A traditional religious mark called a Tripund was reportedly missing from worship at Trimbakeshwar Temple.

The Tripund is connected with Lord Shiva in the Shaiva tradition.

Saints say it has been part of the temple’s worship for many generations.

Mahant Hargiri Maharaj objected to changing this tradition.

He said Trimbakeshwar is an important religious place, not only a tourist destination.

The concern was raised while Guardian Minister Girish Mahajan was present.

Religious leaders want temple officials, the government and saints to work together.

They are waiting to see whether the practice will be restored or explained.
