Indore Officials Target December Completion for Satya Sai Square Flyover
Officials in Indore inspected a flyover and a long elevated road that are being built.
The divisional commissioner asked workers to finish the Satya Sai Square flyover by December.
Work on the elevated road has begun at Shivaji Vatika Square.
Work at Navlakha Square is expected to start after Diwali.
When finished, the road should help more than 100,000 motorists.
It is also expected to make traffic move more smoothly.
Drivers will be able to travel directly from the Rajiv Gandhi statue to the LIG corridor.
Officials said they will use traffic diversions when needed during construction.
Divisional Commissioner Bhaskar Lakshakar directed officers to complete the Satya Sai Square flyover by December.
Lakshakar and Collector Shivam Verma inspected the flyover and a six-kilometre elevated corridor from Navlakha Square to LIG Square.
Construction on the elevated corridor has started at Shivaji Vatika Square, with work at Navlakha Square due to begin after Diwali.
Once completed, the LIG elevated corridor is expected to benefit more than 100,000 motorists and improve traffic flow.
Officials said motorists will be able to travel directly from the Rajiv Gandhi statue to the LIG corridor; traffic diversions will be used as needed.
