Vidyavihar Flyover Major Works Complete, Opening Expected October 10
A new flyover is being built by Vidyavihar railway station in Mumbai.
It will connect roads on the station’s eastern and western sides.
The flyover has two lanes and is 650 metres long.
Most of the building work is finished.
Workers are still putting up noise barriers to help reduce noise for nearby residents.
The flyover also connects to station footpaths, and some station facilities have been rebuilt.
City and traffic officials checked the area and discussed how to keep people and vehicles safe.
The city expects the flyover to be ready for traffic by October 10, 2026.

The 650-metre flyover links Ramchandra Chemburkar Road in the east with Lal Bahadur Shastri Road in the west.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation expects the flyover to be ready for traffic by October 10, 2026.
Station footpath access has been added, and ticket offices, the station master’s office and staircases have been reconstructed.
Civic and traffic officials reviewed plans for signage, barricades, pedestrian safety and managing peak-hour congestion.
