Odisha to disburse fifth Subhadra instalment to one crore women

The government of Odisha, a state in India, is giving money to women who need help.

This money is part of a program called the Subhadra scheme.

On August 28, more than one crore women will get 5,000 rupees each.

This is the fifth time they are getting this payment.

Women who are new to the program will get all five payments at once.

The program gives women between 21 and 60 years old 50,000 rupees over five years.

The money is given in two parts every year, on International Women's Day and on Raksha Bandhan.

Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced the news.

She also spoke to new members of the Child Welfare Committee about keeping children safe and happy.
