Onam 2026 Special Trains Link Kerala With Major Cities

Southern Railway is adding extra trains for people traveling during Onam in 2026.

Onam is a festival when many people travel to and from Kerala.

The special trains connect Kerala with cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai, Mangaluru and Hubballi.

Some trains will run toward Kerala, while others will carry passengers back.

The first listed services begin on August 28.

The schedule includes trains to places such as Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Kannur.

Most of the listed trips will happen between August 28 and September 5.

Travelers should check the train number and date before planning their journey.

Other routes: The schedule also includes Charlapalli–Kollam, Ernakulam–Sonepur, Mangaluru–Chennai Egmore and Thiruvananthapuram North–Lokmanya Tilak services.
