Mumbai–Subedarganj Amrit Bharat Express Gets Weekly Service
A new weekly train will connect Mumbai with Subedarganj in Uttar Pradesh.
Central Railway changed an older special train into a regular Amrit Bharat Express.
The train does not have air-conditioned coaches, which helps keep fares affordable.
It can carry more than 1,800 people and has 22 coaches.
Some coaches have reserved sleeping berths, while others are for passengers without reservations.
The train will stop at stations in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
It will run from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus on Fridays and return from Subedarganj on Thursdays.
The train includes charging points, cameras, special toilets and safety systems.
Passengers can book reserved tickets through railway booking channels and buy unreserved tickets using the RailOne app.
Central Railway has regularised the LTT–Subedarganj special service as a weekly Amrit Bharat Express.
The train will run from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus every Friday, with the return service departing Thursdays.
The non-AC train has 22 coaches and capacity for more than 1,800 passengers.
Its configuration includes Sleeper Class, unreserved General Class, luggage-cum-Divyangjan brake vans and a pantry car.
Passenger features include charging points, CCTV, LED lighting, accessible toilets, Kavach protection and aerosol fire suppression.
